Silver Leos Writers Guild Plans Fred A. Tarpley Writers Workshop in March

Members of the Silver Leos Writers Guild, sponsored by Texas A and M University in Commerce, are inviting writers and interested persons to attend the Fred A. Tarpley Writer’s Workshop. It will be held on Saturday March 10 in the Sam Rayburn Student Center from 8 am until 4:15 pm.  Cost to attend is $50 for Silver Leo members or $55 for non-members. The non-refundable registration fee includes conference materials, refreshments, deli buffet lunch and door prizes. Deadline to register is March 1, 2018. Check-in time is 8:00-8:15 am. Workshop attendees will be treated to morning and afternoon presentations and Q/A sessions by published authors and educators, including Pamela Crisp Haskin, Reavis Z. Wortham, Diana Hines, Bobbie Kornblitt, Robin Reid and Judy Ford. The Memorial Writer’s Guild is presented in honor and memory of long-time professor, the late Fred A. Tarpley. The Silver Leos select current authors to speak at the annual Workshop. Writers Guild members also meet monthly at the University.
