Jasper Ray Northcutt, age 74, of Emory, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, 2:00 PM, November 18, 2017, at the First Assembly of God Church in Emory. Bro. Montie Parker officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8 PM, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Smyrna Cemetery.

Jasper was born on August 2, 1943 in Emory, to John Marvin and Frances Ecra Harrell Northcutt. He graduated from Rains High School and Texas A & M. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal for Valor. He worked most all of his life as an electrician in Rains County. Jasper was a member of First Assembly of God Church where he served as the Secretary/Treasurer and was also on the Board of Trustees. Often times Jasper volunteered and worked behind the scenes helping others in many different outlets and avenues in Rains County and no one would ever even know. He was a member of the VFW, The American Legion Rabb Brothers Memorial Post No. 156. He also enjoyed working as a Volunteer Fireman with the Emory Fire Department and also a volunteer EMT.

Survivors include: 3 Sisters: Alice Northcutt of Springfield, MO, Virginia Northcutt of Emory, and Avis Northcutt Huizar of Emory; Nieces and Nephews: Toni Gambill (Roger); Teresa Huizar; Christina Huizar and John Huizar; Great-Nephews: James Moon and JonMarc Moon (Evea); Great-great-niece: Emerson Moon; Numerous other loving family and friends;
