Winnsboro Police Report June 19-25, 2017

Winnsboro Police made five arrests, investigated three accidents, responded to 161 calls for service, issued 63 citations and wrote 29 warnings during the June 19-25, 2017 report period.

Courtney Jackson, 21, of Scroggins was arrested June 20 on a Titus County warrant.

Autumn Bennett, 21, of Longview was arrested June 24 on a Gregg County warrant.

James Findley, 29, of Sulphur Springs was arrested June 22 on a City of Winnsboro Municipal warrant.

Deana Scott, 41, of Winnsboro was arrested June 22 on a Franklin County warrant.

Justin Moore, 22, of Whitney was arrested June 24 on two Hopkins County warrants.

A minor two vehicle accident occurred in the 100 block of West Coke June 22. Both vehicles were traveling west on W. Coke when a driver failed to control speed causing his vehicle to strike the rear of the second auto. No injuries were reported.

A one vehicle accident occurred in the 800 block of South Walnut June 24th. The vehicle was northbound on S. Walnut when the driver failed to control speed, veering off the roadway, striking a mail box, and then hitting a concrete culvert. No injuries reported.

One vehicle accident occurred in the 400 block of West Broadway June 24th. The vehicle was traveling north on Peach Street and turned into the Armadillo store parking lot. Failure to control speed by the driver caused the vehicle to strike the east side of the building. No injuries were reported.
