Wildcats Basketball Coach Clark Cipoletta is having a highly successful boys and girls basketball camp this week at The ROC of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs. Coach Cipoletta’s first two sessions Monday drew 60 kids for each. Word apparently spread about the free camp and 76 children crowded into The ROC for the first session of the second day Tuesday morning.
Some of the emphasis Tuesday morning included dribbling and shooting. The camp runs through Thursday. Coach Cipoletta also offered the camp last year. Coach Cipoletta has been the Wildcats Head Basketball Coach for the past three years. Last year’s Wildcats’ team set a new school record at 26-7. They finished second in district and advanced as far as the second round area game.
Coach Cipoletta’s SSISD boys basketball camp is scheduled for July 11-13 at the main gym at SSHS.
