Carolyn Carney, age 79 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 in Tyler. She was born on November 26th, 1937 in Houston, TX to the late Cyrus H. Shaw and Helen Elizebeth Jennings Shaw. She was a retired teacher with the Quitman ISD, and was a member of the St. Francis Episcopal Church in Winnsboro.
Mrs Carney was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, James W. Carney.
She is survived by, son, James W. Carney, Jr. and wife Melissa of Wylie; daughter, Elizabeth Crimmins and husband Bob of Wylie; sister, Betty Hull of Houston; three grandchildren, James W. Carney, III, Emily Littrell and Christy Crimmins; three great grandchildren; two nephews, one niece and and one cat, Leon.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 10:00 am, Rev. Ethel Channon and Father Gary Hill conducting.
Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Episcopal Church Scholarship Fund.
