Funeral service for Katherine Virginia Waldrop, age 87, of Emory, will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Emory Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Lowe and Rev. Richard Piles will officiate. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Point. Visitation will be 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service.
Katherine was born February 18, 1930 to Henry Andrew and Easter Ely Bryant. She later married Joe Allen Waldrop, in Greenville on Nov. 15, 1945. They were married some 71 years. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
