Elvis “E. J” Clark

Funeral service for Elvis Joe Clark, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at  10:00 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Maynard officiating and Rev. Fred Lewis assisting. Interment with military honors will follow at Brashear Cemetery with Joe Bob Daniel, Michael Churchman, Chris Clark, Cephus Gregory, Abel Reyes, Dustin Churchman, Cason Churchman and Colton Clark serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mr. Clark passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1926, in Brashear, Texas, the son of Earl and Velma (Johnston) Clark. He married Margaret Bell on April 23, 1955 in Rockwall, Texas.  He served in the US Army in WW II from 1945 to 1946.  He was a member of Divide Baptist Church and a retired auto dealer.

He is survived by his sons, Danny Joe Clark and wife Babs of Poteau, Oklahoma, Tim Clark and wife Raina of Fate, Texas; daughter Sharon Daniel and husband Bobby of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Angela Churchman, Joe Bob Daniel, Cassidy Cameron, Chris Clark, Samantha Parkhill, Josie Burchfield and Lisa Clark; Great Grandchildren McKinsey Pierson, Dustin and Cason Churchman, Cadence and Jaxon Cameron, Jenna Parkhill, Colton Clark, Jalyn Burchfield, Auston Burchfield, Paisley Jo Daniel, Hunter and Halee Potter; sisters,  Imogene Graves and Carolyn McPherson, both of Sulphur Springs.

Elvis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Clark; daughter Deborah Ann Drake and granddaughter Hanna Clark.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
