Wister Jarian “Gee” Godbolt

godboltFuneral services for Wister Jarian “Gee” Godbolt will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. H.B. Nash, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the East Caney Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at West Oaks Funeral Home.

“Gee” was born Wister Jarian Godbolt on November 1, 1978, in Sulphur Springs Texas to Wister Godbolt, Jr. (Dorothy) and Regina Nash Vaughn (Danny).  He graduated in 1997 from Sulphur Springs High School.  After graduating, he attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas to pursue his love for football.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory: his parents, his “bushel and a peck, hug around the neck” Granny Mynder Nash of Sulphur Springs, TX, two children, Dai’Shawn Godbolt and Addison Godbolt, both of Sulphur Springs, TX, three brothers, Adrian Godbolt, Bradley Vaughn, and Jacoby Smith (Victoria) all of Sulphur Springs, TX, four sisters, Shandis Young (Cory), of Sulphur Springs, TX Lequisha Smith (Larrenzo Sr.) of Greenville, TX, Latrivia Taylor of San Diego, CA, Kayla Vaughn of Tyler, TX, ten nephews, K. J. Abron, D. J. Abron, D’Corian Young, Adin Godbolt, X’Zadrian Godbolt, Braden Smith, Deacon Smith and J’Myron Williams, all of Sulphur Springs, TX, Koby Savage of Paris, TX, Jaquentin Patt of Greenville, TX, Larrenzo Smith Jr. of El Paso, TX, seven nieces, Coryn Young, Kadiance Godbolt, Kiya Godbolt, Maddison Vaughn, Codi Smith, all of Sulphur Springs, TX, Amira Taylor of San Diego, CA, and Faith Smith of Greenville, TX, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wister Godbolt Sr., Marie Godbolt, and James Nash.

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
