The Walk to Remember Season began Tuesday with the first of seven mini-walks leading up to the main event at The Gardens at CHRISTUS Mother Francis—Sulphur Springs Hospital on October 6 at 6 p.m. Terrific Tuesday hosted the first walk at 10 am. Tuesday, September 20th at First United Methodist Church. All proceeds from all the walks funds Terrific Tuesday.
Mini-walks are set for Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m. at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab; Monday, September 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Rock Creek Health and Rehab; Tuesday, September 27th at 9:30 a.m. during Fit and Strong at Sulphur Springs Senior Center; Wednesday September 28th at 10 a.m. at Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab; Thursday, September 29th at 10 a.m. at Hopkins Place Assisted Living; and Friday, September 30th, at 10 a.m. at Wesley House/Wesley Oaks.
One can register for any or all of the walks. Registration is $20, which includes a free T-shirt to wear during the walk. Registration and T-shirts are found at the Senior Citizens Center on MLK Blvd.
