2016 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Parade

The 2016 Hopkins county Dairy Festival Parade began at 10 a.m. at Buford Park. Prior to the parade at the park, participants of the parade and their floats used the staging area to prepare for the Parade. The Parade departed from Buford Park at 10 a.m. down Connolly Street toward Celebration Plaza, turning right and continuing down Gilmer Street to South Broadway to Lee Street.

The parade was led by Parade Marshall Mark Sustaire in his horse-drawn carraige. Also present in the parade were the past Dairy Festival queens of the 10th, 25th, 40th, and 50th Anniversaries. Current Dairy Festival Queen Sidney Dietze and the 2016 Dairy Festival Contestants — Sadie, Evans, Lauren Helm, Alexis Howard, Tahtiana King, Emma Boyett, Anne-Maire Winborn, Story Thompson, and La’mier Pryor — made an appearance in the procession.
