North Hopkins Basketball 2016

Congratulations to Aysha Day, 2016 Homecoming Queen for the North Hopkins Panthers. During the Feb. 2 Homecoming game, North Hopkins Boys beat the Cumby Trojans.

Cumby will host the Como-Pickton Eagles on Friday February 5 in games that start at 5pm, and Yantis will travel to Bloomberg.

North Hopkins Boys beat the Cumby Trojans

The Saltillo Lions will hold Homecoming on Friday February 5, facing Union Hill. Games begin at 5pm with the JV Girls, followed by presentation of the Senior Basketball Lady Lions. Between the JV and Varsity Boys games, the Senior Lions will be introduced. During Varsity halftime, the Homecoming Court will be introduced with announcement of Homecoming Queen. Following the games, the Class of 1996 will be honored and a school dance will be held in the cafeteria.

On Tuesday February 9, Saltillo goes to Bears Gym to play Sulphur Bluff, Yantis hosts Avinger, and and Miller Grove faces Ector. The Miller Grove Hornets will hold Seniors Night on Friday February 12 at 6pm.

Many Hopkins County students who are 4H and FFA members are getting their livestock projects ready for the NETLA Show, or Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show. It will be held in the Civic Center February 25-27 and is sponsored annually by the North East Texas Livestock Association. The public is invited to view the projects, attend the auction, and meet the youngsters and their animals.
