Sulphur River At Flood Stage Until After Midnight Thursday

FloodAround midnight Thursday the South Sulphur River should fall below flood stage according to the National Weather Service. Flood stage for the river is 16 feet and Monday evening the stage was at 18.19 feet.

Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. The river should crest at less than 19 feet sometime Tuesday morning December 1, 2015. The river should fall below flood stage Thursday after midnight according to the weather service.

Flooding along the Sulphur River has cause travel difficulties for those seeking to drive near or cross the river in Hopkins, Franklin, and Titus Counties.
