Symphony League Benefits School Music Programs And More

Sulphur Springs Symphony Auction offers not only the Independence Day Celebration on Celebration Plaza but also a children’s program for area schools to introduce students to symphonic music, instruments for Sulphur Springs strings, and an opera for students as well. Kayla Price, President of the Symphony League, and Michael Lamb, Superintendent of SSISD, were guests Monday on KSST’s Morning Show with Enola Gay.

Lamb said the symphony league is a great support to SSISD students in a number of ways as they introduce students to the world of music through funding various opportunities for students. He said the symphony league assists in leveling the playing field when school musicians enter competitions against larger and better funded school districts.
