Blackmon Signs to Play Golf at Ole Miss

Wildcats golfer Brody Blackmon has decided to play college golf at Ole Miss. He signed a letter of intent Friday. KSST News spoke with Brody and his parents Randy and Michelle Blackmon following the signing.

Brody said Ole’ Miss was one of his last official visits allowed under NCAA rules. He stated he liked the atmosphere of Oxford, Mississippi and the attitude of team members and coaches Chris Malloy and Kyle Ellis. He called it “…a perfect fit for me.” Oxford is a small town with a population of approximately 20,000, not counting the students population, giving it a hometown feel for Blackmon. He likes the changes that are in store for the golf team with second season Head Coach Malloy. He hopes to mature his game during his days at the university.
