The Lady Cats’ volleyball team ran their winning streak to five matches by taking all three matches they played in pool play in a Tyler tournament Thursday. The Lady Cats edged by Arp 2-1 in all close sets, downed West Hardin 2-0 and then rallied after losing a first set to defeat Sabine, 2-1. The Lady Cats advance into the Championship Bracket. They’ll continue play Saturday. The Lady Cats are now 14-6 for the season.
It’s still August but the Lady Cats have already surpassed their win total for all of last year. One matter bothering Lady Cats Volleyball Coach Allison Irvin is her team’s tendency to start out matches slowly.
