A funeral service for Vivian Lanell Shell, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2015 with Rev. Steve Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at Arbala Cemetery, with Jeff Mannis, Nate Rowland, Kelly Robbins, Mike Clem, Marvin Jimenez and Michael Pennington serving as Pallbearers.

Vivian Shell passed away Friday , June 26, 2015 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.  She was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on December 3, 1931, the daughter of Clusta Winfred Gammill and Ollie May Payne Gammill.  She married Billy Frank Shell on February 4, 1961 in Greenville.  She was formerly office manager for Texas Employment Commission and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a US Army veteran serving in the WAC’s during the Korean war.

Survivors include: husband, Billy Frank Shell of Sulphur Springs:; son, Sanford Shell and wife, Abby; daughters, Brooke Pennington and Denise Pennington, both of Sulphur Springs; brother, Sanford Gammill of Como; sister, Ruby Watts of Sulphur Springs; Grandsons, Ryan Pennington and Dawson McLaughlin, both of Sulphur Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Gammill and Lewis Gammill; and sisters, Lena Goodson and Fannie Stranglin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
