Tira News By Jan Vaughn

We want to express our sympathy to the family of Oleta Bearden. She passed away on Tuesday at Carriage House and was buried in the Tira cemetery on Thursday. Her funeral was held at the Tira Methodist Church, under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral home. Please keep her family in your prayers. Memorials may be made to the Tira Cemetery or the Tira Methodist Church. Thanks go out to all who helped with the meal for the family, at the Tira Community Center, prior to the service.
Kim and Lee Beck traveled to Marble Falls for a funeral and then made their way over to Austin to see son, Jason Beck, and spend the day with him before midterms. Kim commented that the weather was fantastic in the Hill Country.
Kim and Lee also made it over to the Greenville Municipal Auditorium to see Don Williams on Wednesday night. Kim raMick and Linda Petty have recently returned from a cruise to Cozumel, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman, with friends Ken and Suzi Chapman.ves, “He put on a fantastic show!”
Emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle accident on FM 1536 Wednesday afternoon. The driver escaped with only minor scrapes and bruises. It was reported to me later, that this was the second accident on the same corner recently. Please use caution when traveling on the section of the road just east of Highway 19, which is in bad shape, with lots rough spots and loose gravel.
Kenden and Jaidyn Joslin spent the day with us last Saturday, while their mother, Tiffany Peugh, enjoyed a “girls’ day out” with her friend, Stephanie Weaver.
