This year’s Stock Show is the 119th show to date, after its first show in 1896. The first show had no buildings or admission charge, but in 1897, tents were used to house the livestock and a charge of 25 cents for admission. The show eventually received promotion from stock men in order to bolster the local livestock businesses. Fort Worth citizens eventually raised $50,000 to have the Coliseum built, ensuring that the show would run for another ten years. As the Stock Show gained fame, it gained support, until it became the famous national event that it is today.

In addition to all of the entertainment, this year, people can enter the “Moo-seum experience”, presented by Central Market. This experience grants Stock Show guests access to three world-class museums, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Cattle Raisers Museum, and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. On the other side of that coin, members of these three museums can get into Stock Show grounds at no cost for the whole 23 days.

The Stock Show gifted KSST 50 passes, which Enola Gay will give away at certain times throughout her show. Be sure to stay tuned in and call while they’re available.
