“Updated” Lady Cats Play Well Friday, Improve Record to 7-3

Playing without top scorer Desi Debase, the Lady Cats’ basketball team played well at times but fell short against Quinlin Ford in an Edgewood tournament Thursday, 58-51. Freshman Kaylee Jefferson had a huge game with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Chrissalynd Person added 11 points including 3 three-pointers. The loss dropped the Lady Cats record to 6-3.

The Lady Cats’ basketball team, despite still playing without leading scorer Desi Debase, managed to pick up a win over Paris, 45-37 in an Edgewood tournament Friday. It’s their second win this year over Paris. Daieyshia Pruitt led the Lady Cats with 10 points. Sheretta Hill added 8 points and 7 rebounds for the Lady Cats. The win boosted the Lady Cats record to 7-3. The Lady Cats open district play Tuesday night as they play host to Longview.
