Euelar Pryor Wooten

Wooten - Cropped PicFuneral Services for Euelar Pryor Wooten, age 82 of Sulphur Springs, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael D. Pryor and Pastor Willis E. Taylor, Sr., Enlogist officiating.  Mrs. Wooten’s grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.  There will be no formal visitation.

Mrs. Wooten passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born on June 27, 1932 in Hopkins County the daughter of Claude and Eliza Wynn Pryor.  She was a retired nurses’ aid and barber.  She married Rev. Henry Lee Wooten, Sr. on November 5, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Survivors include: daughters, Debra Davis and husband, Roosevelt and Marilyn Hicks, all of Sulphur Springs; sons, Henry Wooten, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Sulphur Springs, Louis Wooten and wife, Sheila of Rockwall, George Wooten and wife, Melody of Dallas, Gary Wooten of Dallas and Delvin Wooten and wife, Akilah of McKinney; brothers, Dr. George W. Pryor of Dallas and Elvis Pryor of Sulphur Springs; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, two grandsons, seven brothers, two sisters and one infant great-grandson.
