Alliance Bank in Sulphur Springs

Brashear News by Debbie Young 11/11/14

I hope this finds everyone warm and toasty. It seems that Old Man Winter has a surprise for us this week. Cold, colder, and coldest weather so far this year. I would like to ask if anyone has any old coats (male) to please take them to the Homeless Veteran Center on College and Jackson Street. They have some people who could use them. ICAN is also having a coat drive. We do not want anyone to be cold if it can be helped.

There were many special events held on Tuesday in our area to honor our veterans. I hope everyone will take the time to thank a veteran for our freedoms. I was very impressed with all the schools in Sulphur Springs with their special assemblies. Thank you SSISD for recognizing these special people.

I want to say congratulations to the Miller Grove Cross Country Team for winning state last weekend. One of the runners is our neighbor, congratulations Trey Lester.

Tom got the garden bedded for the winter today. I guess you would say just in time.

Thank you for all of your encouraging words each week. Remember to call me at 903.612.8806; email me at [email protected]; or stop by for a visit on CR 1119. We have a great fire going nearly all of the time now that it is cold. Do not forget the Wildcat Playoff Game this Friday night, 7:30 at Lindale. Go Cats!!!
