Funeral Services for Frank Cruse, age 80 of Emory, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church Yantis with Rev. Jeremy Durig officiating. Military graveside honors and interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with Wilbur Cummings, Charlie Teague, Todd Harp, Grant Harp, Tanner Harp, Ty Harp and Ken Skrien serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Cruse died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home. He was a retired custom home builder, member of the U.S. Army and also a member of the First Baptist Church Yantis.
He was born on April 22, 1934, the son of Samuel Franklin and Hazel Runge Cruse in Celeste. He married Shi Skrien on November 23, 1977 in Dallas. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Carol Dutilly and Tracy Hampton , both of Leonard; sons, Todd Harp and wife, Wendy of Anna and Grant Harp and wife, Shanna of Allen; grandchildren, Holli Denton, Megan DeBold, Tanner Harp, Ty Harp, Chance Harp, Angel Harp, Amber Harp and Shane Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Christine Smith.
