SCHEDULE OF PROGRAMS AT COOPER LAKE STATE PARK FOR NOVEMBER, 2014

What is it that makes November so special? Veteran’s Day? Thanksgiving? The month before December and Christmas? That first cold snap that lets you know that winter is just around the corner? Hunting season? Whatever it is that makes November special to you enjoy it to the fullest! I enjoy building a fire and hearing the crackle of wood and the smell of the campfire. There is little better than roasting hot dogs and having s’mores and hot cocoa. Even camping seems more like camping when the air is cool and crisp.

Cooper Lake State Park is open year round and the activities and programs don’t stop because of cold weather. Come visit the park and enjoy plaster casting an animal track or even a leaf. Learn to use a compass and how to orienteer! Be amazed by the form and beauty of the night sky. Learn the outdoor sport of Geocaching. These are just some of the activities and programs you can enjoy at Cooper Lake State Park. We would love to have you visit.

While you are here ask at the office about the Ranger Day Packs and the Junior Ranger Activity Book. They will be hours of fun for your kids and you!

We want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday and as always we look forward to seeing you out at the park.

LIFE IS BETTER OUTSIDE!
