Annette Loper reports, “Sunday we had a family get together in Wolfe City for my nephew Mickey Mathews who is serving in the United States Army. He is being stationed in Hawaii. His mom, Tina Gardner, and step-dad, Ray Gardner, hosted the event. Present were: his brother – Brady Mathews; nephews – Scotty and Zachary; grandparents – Joyce and Ed Oetting; uncles & aunts – Eric & Lisa Wilson, Tim and Annette Loper, Mike Wilson; cousins – Kristian Wilson and daughter MaKinlee, Dakota Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Brandi Loper and daughter Sophie, Courtney DeJarneatt, husband Steven and children, Jason and Jaydee. We enjoyed a barbecue feast, with all the trimmings and desserts. We all had a very wonderful time and enjoyed seeing Mickey and visiting with each other.”

Kim Beck shares, “Our son, Jason Beck escorted Becca Naylor of Dike (now attending Texas A&M-Commerce) to the U.S. Naval Birthday Ball at the University of Texas over the weekend. Jason says they had a very nice time and looked great for this formal event!”

One last reminder about the North Hopkins School Alumni Homecoming, which will be held this Saturday, November 1. Registration begins at 4:00, followed by Bingo and visiting. A barbecue dinner will be served at 5:30. After the meal there will be a brief program and more time for visiting. All former students, teachers, and their guests are encouraged to attend.
