United Way 2nd Report Meeting

After a second report meeting Tuesday, the Hopkins County United Way is just about where they were last year, which proved to be an incredibly successful fund raising year. With fewer than usual workers present, a total of $3,601 was reported bringing the two-week total to just shy of $25,000. Campaign Chair Chris Voorheese, a successful softball coach, used lots of sports metaphors Tuesday while swinging a bat and leading a United Way cheer.

I hope you’ve had a good day!  We continue to be blessed by our community.  I have attached a copy of today’s 100% club listing. Pledges collected today total $3601, bringing us to a total of $24,814. Please also make note of these important dates.

Burgers with the Banks, sponsored by Alliance, CNB, and Guaranty will be Thursday, Oct. 23, from 11-2.  This year the event will be on the Square.

Chili’s is hosting a Give Back event on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from open to close.

Muddy Jake’s is hosting a Give Back event on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from open to close.

We are so grateful to these businesses for organizing these events.  Thank you for your continued support of Hopkins County United Way.  We appreciate you!
