Lt. Gary Keith McLarry

IMG_0992Funeral services for Lt. Gary Keith McLarry, age 58, of Campbell, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Stinson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be the Honorary Color Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hopkins County Sherriff Patrol, P. W. White, Ben Estep, Morgan Anderson, Jacob McLarry, Mark Seal, Jacob Richardson, Strike Franklin, Mike Perkins, Randy Tadlock, Scott Maddson, Greg Minick, Randy Estep, Charles Martin, Doug Small, Stephen Jobe, Bobby Moore, Mack Patterson, Landon K. McLarry, Russell Mann and Rene Mann.

Lt. McLarry passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville. Lt. McLarry was born on March 30, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX, the son of Gibson Howe and Billie Joe (Morgan) McLarry. He married Charlotte Elaine Moore on November 9, 1979 in Grand Prarie. She survives. Lt. McLarry worked for the Hopkins County Sherriff’s office as a peace officer for 9 years. He also retired from Farmers Electric Co-op after 25 years. He was a fire instructor for Texas A&M fire academy in Bryan, and was the Chief for Campbell Volunteer Fire Department. Lt. McLarry was also on the Campbell ISD school board and the Campbell Youth Organization. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy McLarry and wife Jennifer Bruington McLarry of Grapevine and Troy McLarry of Rowlett, his parents, Gib and Billie Joe McLarry, grandchildren, Landon K. McLarry and Skyler P. McLarry both of Grapevine, brothers, Jackie Howe McLarry of Rockwall, Michael Garth McLarry of Grand Prairie, nephew Jacob McLarry of Hideaway, TX, nieces, Sarah McLarry of Dallas and Shanna McLarry of Grand Prairie, uncles, Turk “Bud” Morgan and Herbert Anderson, aunt, Shirley Morgan Anderson and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille Morgan, Wilburn “Turk” Morgan and Guy and Robbie McLarry. Memorials may be made to the Blue Santa, 298 Rosemont Dr., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
