City Council Special Meeting September 23, 2014, 7:00 P.M.

A special meeting of the Sulphur Springs City Council will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in the Council Room at 201 North Davis. The following items will be discussed:

1. Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag, Texas Flag, and invocation.

2. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2652, the appropriations ordinance for the City of Sulphur Springs fiscal year 2014-2015.

3. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2653, setting the tax rate for the City of Sulphur Springs for 2015.

4. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2654, setting the water rate for the City of Sulphur Springs for 2015.

5. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2655, setting the sewer rate for the City of Sulphur Springs for 2015.

6. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2656, setting the sanitation rate for the City of Sulphur Springs for 2015.

7. Discussion/action on public hearing for second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2657, authorization of updated service credits.

8. Discussion/action on Resolution No. 1068, a reimbursement resolution.

9. Discussion/action on first reading of Ordinance No. 2658 amending Ordinance No. 2651 creating an Enterprise Project Zone for Saputo Dairy Foods USA LLC.

10. Discussion/action on public hearing as required by Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code to establish a reinvestment zone for Saputo Dairy Foods USA LLC and on first reading of Ordinance No. 2659 designating a certain area as an Industrial Reinvestment Zone for Saputo Dairy Foods USA LLC.

11. Visitors/public forum.

The City of Sulphur Springs will provide assistance to the hearing impaired if notice is given to the City Secretary 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting date so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

The City Council of the City of Sulphur Springs, Texas meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The Council follows a printed agenda for official action, however, following the conclusion of the agenda, anyone may address the Council but Council will not take official action. Any individual desiring official action should submit his request to the office of the City Secretary by 12:00 noon on the Wednesday before the next regularly scheduled meeting.
