Coach Owens on Whitehouse

Expect an offensive explosion Friday night in Whitehouse as the Wildcats’ football team takes on Whitehouse in the Wildcats last non-district game of the year. The Wildcats are 1-1 while Whitehouse is 2-0 with a road win at Texas High and a neutral site victory over rival Chapel Hill. During his weekly news conference Wildcats Coach Greg Owens talked about Whitehouse.

Wildcats Football Coach Greg Owens believes the keys to success in Friday night’s football game between the Wildcats and Whitehouse will be which team wins the battle between the offensive and defensive lines. He says both offensive lines are senior laden. Coach Owens says it will take seven defenders to cover Whitehouse leaving it up to the four Wildcats’ defensive linemen to put pressure on the quarterback.

Wildcats Football Coach Greg Owens says the Whitehouse team the Wildcats will play Friday night is really good. He admits the Whitehouse quarterback won’t present the challenges presented by last year’s mobile signal caller Patrick Mahomes now at Texas Tech. Coach Owens says their offensive and defensive lines are very good. He says their talented secondary is great at breaking on balls in the air.
