The Lady Cats’ volleyball team won a Mt. Vernon tournament last week taking all five matches they played. After defeating Arkansas High, New Boston and Daingerfield Thursday, the Lady Cats downed Atlanta, 2-0 Saturday and then topped Mt. Vernon, 2-1 to take the tournament title. The Lady Cats have their final non-district match Tuesday as they host Royse City at 6:30 p.m. District play opens Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Marshall.
