City Managers Report September 2014

With Rogers Street almost completed and all pothole work orders done, what’s next for city street crews? Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell says they will repave Lamar Street after making improvements to drainage and to water and sewer lines. Work will also be done replacing a 12-inch water main that runs along FM 2285 out past the Lake Sulphur Springs’ dam. Maxwell says the water main is the source of a lot of breaks. Some streets will also be improved by a contractor doing the annual paving program this fall. The new city budget also includes more money for rebuilding city streets.
