A 27-year old Sulphur Springs man, who refused to pull over for a policeman, led lawmen on a high-speed chase from Sulphur Springs into rural Hopkins County Sunday morning. Around Brashear, the man tossed items out of his vehicle. At County Road 4712 and FM 2653, the driver stopped and ran into some woods where he was arrested by a DPS trooper. Danny Joe Woodard was charged with evading arrest and tampering with evidence before JP Yvonne King who set bonds totaling $15,000.
