Dare To Dream Underway At Douglas

The three-day Dare to Dream Camp got underway Wednesday at Douglas Intermediate School in Sulphur Springs. 120 fifth graders to be at Douglas registered to attend the leadership building camp. Around 100 high school students are serving as mentors. Jeff Harris, the school district Character Curriculum Director, developed the program. It utilizes the movie Remember the Titans. Games are interspersed with speeches. Speakers Wednesday included pastor C.J. Duffey, SSISD Police Officer Jim Bayuk and educator Mynder Kelly.
