Free classes in either General Education Development (GED) or English as a Second Language (ESL) will be offered by Paris Junior College this month. Classes are set to start the last week of August.
While the GED and ESL classes are free, students need to call first to ensure there is space in the class. Completion is based on the individual students’ efforts. Successful students completing program requirements may apply for a GED scholarship as long as funds are available.
CANHelp at 613 Gilmer Street is the location of the GED classes. ESL classes are offered at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1000 Texas Street, with entry from Peach Street. To sign up, or to get additional information, call 903-782-0424.
