Funeral Services for Larry W. Morris, age 70 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Bro. Mike Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Leeman Stracener and Tim Burger. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., prior to the service at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Morris died on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his residence after an extended illness. He retired from Grocery Supply Company as the Transportation Manager after thrity-one years.
He was born on August 27, 1943, the son of Clarence William and Jesse Marsh Morris in Delta County, TX. He and his wife, Rosemary McElvy Morris were together for thirty-seven years. She survives.
Survivors included: daughter, Michelle Bond; grandchildren, Kody Bond and Jessie Bond and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, C.W. Morris, Herbert Morris, Joe Morris and Roger Morris; sisters, Zinna Simmons, Dink Armatage, Sybil Childers and Faye Laird.
