One Arrested, One Wanted

City and county law enforcement officers made an arrest of a man wanted in Hunt County and continue to seek one of Texas top 10 wanted. Thursday night Howard Wolf, Jr was arrested at a convenience store parking lot as he was attempting to destroy evidence of a controlled substance—methamphetamine. Local officers had been seeking him locally due to his interaction with family members here. Randy Huffstetter, on the 10 most wanted fugitive list in Texas was living in cabin near Brashear and working for a construction company in the area. Several tips have been received regarding his location. A $5,000 award is offered for Huffstetter’s arrest. Criminal Investigators Lewis Tatum and Daniel Winn encourage residents to call 911 if Huffstetter is sighted so that local law officers may respond quickly to make the arrest. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Huffstetter has a violent criminal past. He is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, probation violation, and parole violation.
