The Annual Mark Wayne Johnson Memorial Events, organized by the laymen of Morning Chapel, will bring participants to Pacific Park for recreation and fellowship and to provide proactive initiative for Community relations against crime and drug abuse and to encourage Youth and Young Adults to seek godly moral ethics and excellence in education. The events in the park are this Saturday and Sunday. Ricky Godbolt and Dennis “Pete” Nash appeared on the Morning Show to tell listeners about the 16th annual event. Events begin at 5 p.m. Saturday evening. At 7 p.m. Pastor Mark Bryant of First Baptist Church Sulphur Springs will speak. Sunday evening, a Christian Concert featuring choirs and soloists from area churches will sing. Events include basketball, flag football and volleyball tournaments. The winning teams will receive championship trophies. Teams for the sports events are already entered for Saturday competition.
