A man was shot and the shooter was beaten with a pipe wielded by a friend of the shooting victim after a confrontation at a residence on County Road 3366 in Saltillo Sunday afternoon (June 29th). The shooting victim was taken to a Tyler hospital. The man who was assaulted was taken to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. No names have been released and no arrests have been made. An investigation continues.
