Terrific Tuesdays

Pat Higginbotham is a volunteer and a spokesperson for Terrific Tuesdays, the weekly program at First United Methodist Church, which offers activities for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia as well several hours off for caregivers. Ms. Higginbotham is commited to the program because of what it offered her when her husband had Alzheimer’s disease. Terrific Tuesday begins at 9 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m. Cost is $20 or what a person can afford. Attendees get a snack and lunch and are encouraged to play games, do puzzles and make things.
