Concrete Work Continues on Main Street Project

Concrete work resumed on the Main Street project Wednesday morning. The complicated and delicate work is being done by what City Manager Marc Maxwell calls a large and experienced concrete crew. The workers are forming the foundation that bricks will cover with only a thin layer of sand in between. After the concrete foundation is poured from one end of the block of Main Street to the other, work is expected to begin on sidewalks. The city council will be accepting and awarding brick bids next week. The project is expected to be completed by mid-October at the latest.
