Lightning Can Be A Year Round Danger

If you saw all the scary lightning after the recent Independence Day Concert on the Square, this story is for you. Summer is the peak season for lightning but the weather phenomena occurs year round. In the United States an average of 62 people are killed each year by lighting. At last report, at least 8 people have died from lighting strikes this year. 45 people were struck and killed last year.
