Sulphur Springs High School Academic Specialist Kristen Monk has been selected as the new principal of Travis Elementary School. The School Board approved the change Monday night. Ms. Monk will replace Allison Wilson who is going to work for an education service center in the Dallas area. Superintendent Patsy Bolton says Ms. Monk was one of five in-house applicants interviewed for the job.
