Heavy April Rainfall Puts Sulphur Springs Six Inches of Rain Ahead of Average : KSSTRadio.com

Rainfall in a typical April is 4 and a third inches. This April was wetter than usual as we recorded 5.1 inches at the Sulphur Springs weather station at the city water treatment plant. Our four-month 2008 total for rainfall is at 20.82 inches, six inches above normal. Our current total is even more than we usually get by the end of May. The coldest day is April got down to a chilly 34 degrees. The warmest day got up to 83. Our average high and low was close to the average: 51 for a low and 73 for a high. May usually produces about 5 inches of rain and temperatures about ten degrees warmer.
