Wildcats Lose Again to Mt. Pleasant by One Goal, 1-0

The Wildcats Soccer Team lost a tough one to Mt. Pleasant, 1-0 Friday night in Mt. Pleasant. The game featured tight checking defense that allowed for few offensive chances. Mt. Pleasant took advantage of one opportunity to score. It occurred with about 3:30 left to play in the first half. The Tigers’ Leonel Yanez broke in alone on keeper Mario Arellano with the ball loose in front of him. The two arrived at the ball at about the same time but Yanez got enough of the ball for it to dribble into the goal. The Wildcats are now 8-2 in district play and two games behind Mt. Pleasant. The Wildcats play Texas High at home on Thursday.
