January is Fourth Straight Sub-Par Month for Rainfall for Sulphur Springs

January marked the fourth straight dry month for Sulphur Springs. Officially we received 1.27 inches of rain during January. That’s under the average rainfall of 2.88 inches and well below the nearly 7-inches of rain we received last January. October, November and December also received below normal rainfall as well. Our coldest January temperature was 17 degrees. Highest temperature was 76 degrees. Our average high and low for the month were right on average, 31 and 53.
