It turns out that the city of Sulphur Springs will need TXDOT’s approval to properly do the Main Street project. City Manager Marc Maxwell says in order for Main Street to drain properly, the project will extend into the intersection of Main and Davis. Davis Street in part of State Highway 67 so TXDOT’s blessing is needed. On a related matter, Maxwell says a city request to replace two traffic lights with four-way stops on Davis Street downtown is still being considered by TXDOT.
