Special Crimes Unit Grant [2:03m]: Play Now | Play in Popup

The Hopkins County Sulphur Springs Special Crimes Unit that wages the war on drugs locally is living on borrowed time. The grant funding the three-man unit expired November 1. In the interim, the city and county have picked up the slack while a replacement grant is being sought. Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell says he expects to hear something on the new grant soon. Maxwell says the Special Crimes Unit is critically important.
