Lady Cats Open Basketball Season with Scrimmage

The Lady Cats Basketball Team out pointed Saltillo in a scrimmage Tuesday night but it took five quarters instead of four. Senior Stephanie Conley led the way with a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while sophomore Stephanie Pruitt added 11 points. Coach Tina Carrillo says expect to see her team use the run and jump press a little less than last year. She says that press takes a lot of energy and she hopes the extra energy will benefit several of her good offensive players. A lot of the Lady Cats offense is expected to come from senior post Star Wright who returns for her third year on the varsity. The Lady Cats scrimmage at John Tyler Saturday.
