Rita Edwards, who organized this year’s Heritage Square Rod Run, is hoping to attract 100 vintage cars to next year’s Third Annual event. There were 87 entries this year. The Best in Show award went to Paula Blake of Royse City for her 1972 Challenger. The People’s Choice award went to Jim Potter of Garland for his yellow 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. Ms. Edwards says several downtown merchants told her they had a steady stream of customers in their stores Saturday.
