Dike Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident in the Rain

A Dike man was killed in a two-vehicle accident during a rainstorm Tuesday morning. Deceased is 55-year old Darrell Lewis Decker. The accident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on State Highway 11 about 1-mile east of Pickton. The victim was carried to Presbyterian Hospital in Winnsboro where he passed away at around noon. DPS Trooper Brandon Stribling indicated Decker’s vehicle was eastbound when it hydroplaned on wet payment and traveled backward before striking a second vehicle. Driver of the second vehicle, 54-year old Audrey Marie Sarkisian of Como was reported to be in stable condition at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
