Commissioners Work on Budget

The Hopkins County Commissioners Court continues to study numbers as they try to compile a budget for the next fiscal year. Work sessions continue Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m. this week at the County Courthouse. The court did learn last week that the county’s taxable appraised value has increased 5.8% over last year. The new county budget goes into effect October 1.
